Récemment créée, en janvier 2026, la Fédération de la biologie médicale (FBM) dévoile la composition de sa gouvernance. Le Tourangeau François Blanchecotte est élu président, tandis que Thomas Hottier, directeur général du groupe montpelliérain Inovie (7 515 salariés, CA 2025 : 1 Md€), devient le secrétaire général de cette nouvelle organisation, qui rassemble les professionnels de santé et les entités économiques du secteur. En rapprochant 4 syndicats, la FBM représente près de 90 % des biologistes médicaux (4 222 laboratoires en France au total). Face aux pouvoirs publics, elle veut se positionner comme un acteur clé du système de santé, portant diverses propositions sur les nouveaux modes de tarification ou sur la convention des directeurs de laboratoires privés d’analyse médicale. "La biologie médicale ne doit plus être vue seulement comme un coût. C’est un levier de transformation du système de santé, alors qu’elle représente moins de 1,5 % des dépenses de santé", indique Thomas Hottier sur LinkedIn.
